Panamerican Boxing Confederation and Sting Sports Launch Athlete Support Package Program

Panamerican Boxing Confederation (PBC) is proud to announce a new partnership with Sting Sports, a globally recognized leader in boxing equipment, to launch the PBC–Sting Sports Athlete Support Package Program. Through this initiative, selected athletes and coaches from National Federations across the Americas will receive high-quality boxing equipment designed to support their training, development, and competitive success.

The program reflects PBC's commitment to athlete welfare, solidarity, and equal opportunity by helping reduce barriers to participation and ensuring that talented athletes and dedicated coaches have access to essential training resources.

For the inaugural 2026 program, PBC and Sting Sports will provide 10 Athlete Support Packages.

The number of packages and level of support will be reviewed jointly by PBC and Sting Sports for 2027 and beyond as the program develops.

Supporting Athlete Development

The Athlete Support Packages will include key equipment items that are essential for training and competition preparation, including:

  • Training gloves

  • Competition or training headguards

  • Groin protector

  • Hand wraps

  • Mouth guards

  • Skipping rope

  • Backpack / duffel bag

Recipients will be selected through an application process administered by PBC, with consideration given to athletic performance, demonstrated need, and competitive activity. The program will also incorporate a lottery component to ensure broader access to support opportunities throughout the region.

Supporting the Coaches Behind the Athletes

Recognizing that athlete development is made possible through the dedication of coaches, the partnership will also provide Coach Support Packages to the personal coach of the selected athletes, consisting of speed focus mitts and heavy-hitter focus mitts.

These resources are intended to help coaches enhance the quality of training environments within their respective National Federations and local boxing communities.

Commitment to Impact and Sustainability

As part of the program, successful recipients will provide feedback on how the equipment has contributed to their training and development. This reporting will help PBC and Sting Sports evaluate the effectiveness of the initiative and guide future expansion of the program.

Applications for the 2026 Athlete Support Package Program are available on the PBC website. Athletes and Coaches in good standing with their National Federations are invited to apply through a transparent evaluation process overseen by representatives from the PBC Athletes Committee, Sport & Competition Committee, and Sustainability & Solidarity Commission. The deadline for applications is October 1, 2026 and winners will be announced October 31, 2026.
