Brazil Tops Medal Table as Boxing Concludes at XIII South American Games Santa Fe 2026 in Rafaela

RAFAELA, ARGENTINA – The boxing tournament of the XIII South American Games Santa Fe 2026 concluded Friday evening at the boxing arena in Rafaela following an electric finals session that crowned champions across 12 weight categories. Over six days of action, 68 bouts were contested by athletes representing 13 nations, culminating in 12 countries earning places on the medal podium.

Brazil captured top honors on the final medal table, securing six gold medals, two silver, and two bronze for a tournament-leading total of 10 medals. Venezuela finished second overall with four gold medals, one silver, and three bronze, driven by a dominant showing across the women’s weight classes where their boxers claimed four of the five titles. Host nation Argentina demonstrated exceptional depth across the tournament, securing nine total medals (four silver, five bronze). Ecuador and Uruguay also delivered standout performances, capturing one gold medal apiece and tying with five total medals each.
