With all four semifinalists in each weight division officially securing a spot on the podium, 56 elite athletes across 14 weight classes have now guaranteed themselves CAC Games medals.

August 3: Statement Stoppages & Olympic Precision

Dominican Strikers: Home-crowd favorite and Olympic medalist Junior Alcántara Reyes (DOM) delivered a sharp, tactical performance to sweep past Joshua Lorenzo (PUR) 5:0 in the Men’s 55kg quarterfinal. In the Heavyweight division (90kg), Cristian Pinales (DOM) thrilled local fans by securing a unanimous decision over Mexico’s Emilio Molina.
Cuban Dominance: Legend Julio Cesar La Cruz Peraza (CUB) showed his signature composure, earning a unanimous victory against Puerto Rico’s Angel Rivera in the Men’s 90kg division.
Early Stoppages: Venezuela’s Alfonso Blanco Parra (90kg) and Colombia’s Jhojan Caicedo (90kg) advanced via referee stoppages (RSC-I and RSC, respectively), while Mexico’s Guadalupe Torres Tavares (W57kg) and Venezuela’s Omailyn Alcala Cegovia (W57kg) halted their opponents in the third round.

Puerto Rico's Angel Gabriel Llanos Perez (M70kg) also made quick work of his opponent with a Round 1 RSC stoppage.
Tightly Contested Wars: Venezuela’s Diana Maestre Marquez (W54kg) edged out Colombia’s Yeni Arias in a narrow 3:2 split decision. In the Men's 65kg, Suriname’s Domelzo Schet captured a gritty 3:2 split decision win against Guyana's Colin Lewis.
Host Nation Momentum: Dominican boxers continued their strong run with Disney Medina Gómez (M60kg), Noel Pacheco (M80kg), and Miguel Ángel Encarnacion (M65kg) all collecting dominant 5:0 unanimous decision wins to advance to the medal round.
