PANAMA CITY, PANAMA – The momentum continued to build today at the IV South American Youth Games with 12 thrilling bouts in Session 2. The afternoon was marked by a series of decisive finishes, including a knockout and multiple stoppages, as athletes from across the region fought for a place on the podium.

Yesterday’s Highlights: Session 3 Results

Athletes from across the continent secured their advancement with standout performances:

• Power and Precision: Venezuela’s Luis Indriago (80kg) delivered a spectacular second-round knockout (KO) victory. Argentina’s Santino Zilli (80kg) also secured a stoppage win via Referee Stops Contest (RSC) in the second round. Brazil’s Sabrina Lima (W54kg) advanced with a second-round RSC victory.

• Shutout Wins: Several nations earned unanimous decision victories, including Eudaliz Rodriguez (VEN), Giuliana Velasquez (BOL), Gustavo Domingues (BRA), Daniel Bernabe (BRA), and Stiven Galvis (COL).

• Hard-Fought Battles: In the most closely contested matches of the day, Argentina’s Jeremias Manzelli (55kg) and Uruguay’s Dahel Abrines (80kg) both moved forward after securing 4:1 and 3:2 split decision wins, respectively. Brazil's Maira Santos (W60kg) advanced with a 4:0 points victory.
