GUIYANG, CHINA – Panamerican Boxing Confederation (PBC) continues to closely monitor the fierce international competition at the World Boxing Cup - Stage 2, where the region's elite boxers faced crucial Round of 16 clashes earlier today. Following a demanding afternoon session, the tournament field transitions fully into the high-stakes Quarterfinal phase tomorrow, June 19, with multiple Pan American fighters positioned to battle for podium placements.

The June 18 sessions featured narrow split decisions and highly competitive battles as PBC athletes went toe-to-toe with global standouts:
Women's 51Kg: Noelle Haro (USA) delivered a standout performance for the region, displaying exceptional composure to capture a thrilling 3:2 split decision victory over Mongolia’s Yesugen Oyuntsetseg.
Men's 65Kg: In a highly anticipated all-Pan American derby, 19-year old Marcus Luther (USA) edged past World Championship Silver Medalist Yuri Falcão (BRA) via a razor-thin 3:2 split decision to secure his advancement.
Other Notable Efforts: Several PBC fighters fought valiantly but fell short against top-seeded opponents. Irismar Cardozo (VEN) fell 1:4 to top-seed Alua Balkibekova (KAZ), while Radija Gama (BRA) dropped a 1:4 decision to Spain's Laura Fuertes Fernández.
