FOZ DO IGUAÇU, BRAZIL – The Panamerican Boxing Confederation (PBC) delivered a masterclass in elite boxing during yesterday's Quarterfinal round at the World Boxing Cup. Following a series of clinical technical displays and hard-fought victories, the delegation has secured a significant number of semifinal berths, guaranteeing a substantial medal haul for the continent.
Day 5 Highlights: Quarterfinal Results (April 24)
Technical Masterclasses and Clear Decisions:
W-57kg: Omailyn Alcala (VEN) advanced to the semifinals with a enanimous victory over Guadalupe Torres (MEX).
W-60kg: Rebeca Santos (BRA) secured her podium spot with a clear win against Krisandy Rios (VEN). His teammate, Kaue Belini, swept the cards against Spain’s Adrian Fresneda Ricardo in the M-85kg division.
M-80kg: Brazil’s Wanderley Pereira moved forward with an authoritative sweep over Nahuel Roldan (ARG).
In a massive result for Canada in the M-60kg division, Keoma Al-Ahmadieh shut out Japan with a clinical unanimous win.
