BANGKOK, THAILAND – Panamerican Boxing Confederation (PBC) continued its impressive run on the second day of the U19 World Boxing Futures Cup in Bangkok. Following high-stakes sessions on March 9, athletes from across the Americas showcased technical brilliance and raw power, securing critical victories to advance in the tournament.
March 9 Recap: Technical Brilliance and Power
Panamerican athletes competed across both rings in Sessions 3 and 4, delivering several standout performances characterized by relentless pressure and elite ring generalship.
Key Victories:
Brijhana Epperson (USA): Secured a dominant win in the Female 57kg division by RSC in the second round against Chinese Taipei.
Christian Paez (USA): Delivered a clinical finish in the Male 55kg class, winning by RSC in the first round against Jordan.
Jan Cumba (PUR): Overpowered his opponent from Libya to secure an RSC victory in the Male 65kg division.
Jonathan Bibriesca (MEX): Advanced in the Male 55kg division via ABD (Abandon) in the second round against Moldova.
Michael Reyes (DOM): Earned a unanimous decision over Bhutan in the Male 55kg category.
Lisandro Rebelo (CAN): Claimed a unanimous decision victory in the Male 55kg division against Qatar.
