BANGKOK, THAILAND – The Panamerican Boxing Confederation (PBC) reached new heights on Tuesday as the U19 World Boxing Futures Cup transitioned into the critical Round of 16 and continued preliminary action. Athletes from across the Americas delivered a masterclass in technical boxing, securing a series of dominant victories and setting the stage for a strong medal push.

Sofia Ramirez (MEX): Delivered a clinical masterclass in the Female 54kg Round of 16, securing an RSC victory over South Korea. Ramirez utilized a piercing jab to dictate the range before forcing the stoppage with a series of precise power shots.
Mehreen Khakh (CAN): Secured a dominant unanimous decision in the Female 51kg Round of 32 against Kenya, utilizing her height and reach to control the tempo from start to finish.
Ruby Lopez (USA): Advanced in the Female 51kg division with a dominant unanimous decision over South Korea. Lopez displayed superior ring generalship, neutralizing her opponent's aggression with sharp counter-punching.
Guadalupe Ruiz (USA): Prevailed in a highly technical all-Panamerican Female 54kg clash against Evelin Trejos (COL), earning a unanimous decision. Ruiz's high work rate and defensive movement proved to be the difference in this elite encounter.
Atena Juarez (MEX): Showcased gritty determination in a 4:1 split decision victory over Chinese Taipei in the Female 48kg division, winning the key exchanges in the final round.
Refugio Veloz Medrano (USA): Demonstrated explosive power in the Male 50kg Round of 32, winning by RSC in the first round against Botswana.
Ciana Nonhphala (USA): Earned a convincing unanimous decision over the Philippines in the Female 48kg division. Nonhphala’s relentless pressure and body-head combinations overwhelmed her opponent.
Alan Ocampo (MEX): Secured a hard-fought 4:1 split decision over Scotland in the Male 50kg Round of 32. Ocampo's effective counter-punching in the final two rounds proved to be the difference-maker.
Izzon Galea (COL): Put on a clinical performance in the Male 50kg Round of 32, claiming a unanimous decision over Senegal. Galea utilized superior footwork and a sharp jab to control the tempo from start to finish.
Kaylee Aguilar (USA): Advanced via Walkover against Senegal in the Female 60kg Round of 32.
Valiant Efforts: These athletes saw their tournament end run but represented their countries and the regions proudly.
Yeniree Castillo (VEN): Fought a tactical battle in the Female 54kg Round of 16, falling in a competitive decision to Japan.
