Panamerican Boxing Confederation Encourages Participation in Panam Sports Safe Sport Forum

LIMA, PERU – Panamerican Boxing Confederation (PBC) is pleased to promote the upcoming Safe Sport Forum, organized by Panam Sports Organization, which will take place on August 25, 2026, at the Westin Lima Hotel & Convention Center during Panam Sports Week in Lima, Peru. The event will also be broadcast live on the Panam Sports Channel, allowing stakeholders across the Americas and around the world to participate remotely.

The Safe Sport Forum brings together leading experts, athletes, administrators, and safeguarding professionals committed to creating safer and more inclusive sporting environments. Through presentations, case studies, and practical implementation sessions, participants will gain valuable insights into safeguarding policies, prevention strategies, reporting mechanisms, and athlete protection initiatives.

The program features contributions from internationally recognized speakers, including former Argentine rugby international Marcelo Bosch, who will share his personal experiences and perspectives on the importance of safeguarding structures in sport. Additional sessions will highlight successful safeguarding initiatives, lessons learned from major sport organizations, and practical tools that National Olympic Committees and sports federations can implement immediately.

A key component of the forum will focus on safeguarding protocols both during and outside of sporting events, providing participants with access to base templates, implementation resources, and expert guidance to strengthen Safe Sport frameworks within their organizations.

As an organization committed to the protection and well-being of athletes, coaches, officials, and all members of the boxing community, the PBC recognizes the importance of safeguarding education and encourages its Member Federations, administrators, coaches, and athletes to follow this important event. Safe Sport initiatives play a critical role in promoting respect, integrity, inclusion, and accountability throughout sport.

The forum will conclude with a presentation on "Safeguarding in the Olympic Movement: Building the Future Together," reinforcing the shared responsibility of sports organizations to create environments where all participants can thrive free from harassment, abuse, discrimination, and misconduct.
