GUIYANG, CHINA – Panamerican Boxing Confederation (PBC) celebrated an outstanding day of high-caliber boxing as athletes representing the Americas delivered stellar performances today during the June 17 sessions at the prestigious World Boxing Cup - Stage 2 in Guiyang, China. Highlighting a day of spectacular victories, regional powerhouses captured major wins across multiple divisions, establishing incredible momentum ahead of tomorrow's critical sessions.

June 17 Session Highlights & Results

Pan American athletes squared off against elite international competition, securing critical victories, including dramatic stoppages and clean unanimous decisions:

  • Women's 65Kg: Beatriz Ferreira (BRA) displayed world-class ability, defeating Mariana Soto Torres (ESP) via RSC in the third round after a masterful performance.

  • Women's 65Kg: Marie Rosendo (USA) earned a spectacular third-round stoppage victory against Mongolia's Tsetsegdari Myagmarsuren.

  • Women's 65Kg: Darianne Hernandez (MEX) sweeped the scorecards with flawless execution against Sarina Naghsh of Iran.

  • Women's 60Kg: Krisandy Rios (VEN) put on a clinic to shut out Egypt's Yomna Ayyad with a flawless unanimous decision victory.

  • Men's 60Kg: Salim Ellis Bey (USA) dominated the ring against Kazakhstan's Serik Temirzhanov, executing with superb tactics to win by a clear unanimous decision.

  • Men's 60Kg: Keoma Al Ahmadieh (CAN) secured an impressive unanimous decision victory over South Korea's Donghwan Jang.

  • Men's 80Kg: Wanderley Pereira (BRA) closed the evening in style, edging out Kyrgyzstan's Omurbek Bekzhigit Uulu via a thrilling 4:1 decision.

Other notable efforts from the continent included narrow split-decision losses, including Canada's Marie Al Ahmadieh (2:3 vs. Yeonji Oh of South Korea), Mexico's Paula Hernandez (1:4 vs. Chengyu Yang of China), and Brazil's Kaian Reis (1:4 vs. Ablaikhan Zhussupov of Kazakhstan). Venezuela's Wilson Solorzano dropped a unanimous decision to Uzbekistan's Abdumalik Khalokov in the Men's 60Kg division.
