Pan American Boxers Ready to Compete at the 2026 Commonwealth Games

Glasgow, Scotland – Panamerican Boxing Confederation (PBC) is proud to celebrate the athletes representing Pan American nations at the upcoming 2026 Commonwealth Games Boxing Competition, as some of the region's finest boxers prepare to compete against the best from across the Commonwealth.

Five Pan American nations will be represented in Glasgow:

  • Canada

  • Antigua & Barbuda

  • Bahamas

  • Jamaica

  • Trinidad & Tobago

These athletes will compete across the Olympic divisions for men and women, highlighting the continued growth and strength of boxing throughout the Americas.

Pan American Athletes Competing on Opening Day – Friday, 24 July

The boxing competition gets underway on Friday, 24 July, with several Pan American athletes making their Commonwealth Games debut.

Morning Session (11:00)

  • Bout 8 (Men's 65kg) - Rashield Williams (Bahamas) vs. James Paul (Papua New Guinea)

Evening Session (18:00)

  • Bout 22 (Men’s 65kg) - Alston Ryan (Antigua & Barbuda) vs. Elias Bonzo (Malawi)

No Canadian, Jamaican, or Trinidad & Tobago athletes are scheduled to compete on the opening day, although several are set to make their debuts on 25 July.

  • Jamaica

    • Martez Cope – Men's 65kg

  • Trinidad & Tobago

    • Anthony Joseph – Men's 60kg

    • Jeremiah Thomas – Men's 80kg

    • Nigel Paul – Men's 90+kg

The competition continues through 1 August, when the gold medal bouts will be contested across all fourteen divisions.

The Panamerican Boxing Confederation will follow the performances of all Pan American athletes throughout the competition and congratulates every athlete, coach, official, and National Federation represented in Glasgow.
