Puebla, Mexico - High-caliber competition continued on Day 2 of the Panamerican Boxing Confederation (PBC) Continental Championships in Puebla, as boxers contested 25 bouts across two sessions on Monday, October 19. Featuring split decisions and decisive stoppage victories, athletes secured advancement deeper into the tournament bracket ahead of tomorrow’s quarterfinal schedule.

Day 2 Highlights (Monday, October 19)

Session BX03 (Afternoon Session)

The afternoon session opened with Elite Women’s 60 kg quarterfinal bouts:

  • Rebeca Santos (BRA) secured a unanimous points victory over host Mexico’s Paula Hernandez.

  • Jajaira Gonzalez (USA) battld past Canada’s Marie Al Ahmadieh by close 3:2 split decision.

  • Tianna Guy (TTO) recorded a 5:0 unanimous win against Cuba’s Melani Girado.

  • Camila Camilo (COL) earned a 5:0 decision against Dominican Republic’s Katherine Jessica Bera Katherine to claim a semifinal berth.

Elite Men’s 60 kg preliminaries (Round of 16) followed:

  • Elite Men’s 50 kg (Quarterfinal):
