Canadian Women Secure PBC's First Two Medals at 2026 Commonwealth Games

Glasgow, Scotland – Panamerican Boxing Confederation (PBC) officially secured its first two medals of the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games on Tuesday, driven by dominant Quarter-Final performances from Team Canada in the women’s divisions.

By advancing to the Semi-Finals, Canadian boxers Scarlett Savannah Delgado and Marie-Bathoul Al-Ahmadieh have assured themselves of at least a bronze medal finish as they continue their fight for gold.

Day 5 Recap: Tuesday, July 28 Results (Quarter-Finals)

Women’s 54kg Quarter-Final: Scarlett Savannah Delgado (CAN) delivered a flawless performance against New Zealand's Greer Hall, earning a unanimous decision victory on all five judges' scorecards to guarantee a medal.
Women’s 60kg Quarter-Final: Marie-Bathoul Al-Ahmadieh (CAN) put on a tactical display against Kenya's Rosemarion Otieno, securing a 4:1 split decision to punch her ticket to the Semi-Finals and assure another podium spot for Team Americas.
Men’s 65kg Quarter-Final: Gabriel Labrie (CAN) engaged in a closely contested battle against Australia's Jacob Cassar, narrowly missing out on the medals in a 3:2 split decision.

Tomorrow’s Schedule: Wednesday, July 29 (Quarter-Finals)

Four PBC boxers step into the ring tomorrow with a spot in the Semi-Finals and a guaranteed Commonwealth medal on the line.
