Canada’s Scarlett Savannah Delgado and Marie-Bathoul Al-Ahmadieh March on to Finals

GLASGOW, SCOTLAND — Panamerican Boxing Confederation (PBC) athletes made their mark in today’s high-stakes semifinal action at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, securing two spots in tomorrow’s gold medal finals alongside three hard-earned bronze medal performances.

Leading the charge for the Panamerican region were Canadian standouts Scarlett Savannah Delgado and Marie-Bathoul Al-Ahmadieh, who both delivered decisive victories to march into the championship round.

Delgado set the tone in the Women's 54kg division with a sharp 4:1 win on points over England's Lauren Mackie. She will face Preeti Preeti of India in tomorrow's grand finale.

Joining her in the finals is teammate Al-Ahmadieh, who showcased dominant power in the Women's 60kg division by stopping Pakistan's Fatima Zahra in the second round. Al-Ahmadieh will go head-to-head with India's Priya Priya for Commonwealth gold tomorrow afternoon.

While two athletes advanced to fight for gold, three additional Panamerican boxers put up heroic efforts in the semifinals, bowing out against tough opposition to capture Commonwealth Games Bronze Medals:

Joshua Ofori (Canada) – Men's 80kg
Amber-Jane Wall (Canada) – Women's 51kg
Nigel Paul (Trinidad & Tobago) – Men's 90+kg

All three podium finishers fought valiantly, bringing pride to their home nations and adding to PBC’s growing medal tally on the international stage.

Eyes on Gold Tomorrow!

The excitement shifts to tomorrow, Saturday, August 1st, as Delgado and Al-Ahmadieh step into the ring at SEC Hall 5 for the ultimate prize.
